With health and fitness, education, child care, and community programmes, the Y Centre, it's activities and services are designed to help participants grow in spirit, mind and body.
We have a fantastic team of staff and volunteers, including youth volunteers, who run a range of fun and engaging activities for children and adults, such as the action packed half term and holiday sessions.
Our activity list changes frequently, look out for up to date information and dates on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
PUTTING THE Y INTO PARTY
- 1.5 Hours of Skating Fun.
- Exclusive use of venue for up to 32 skaters.
- Skate hire.
- Disco lights and music.
- Two members of staff to organise games.
- Invitations.
- Party slots on Saturdays or Sunday.
- Free tea/coffee for party hosts.
- Use of the kitchen for cooked party food is included with 15 minutes to set up and then clear away.

Holiday Food & Fun
Free for families recieving benefits-related free school meals
Our school holiday HAF Programmes are lots of fun, entertainment and learning.
Some activities are health giving exercise through Multi-sports, Roller Skating and Dance.
Other activities arebased on Arts & Craft, Scavenger Hunts, Five-a-side days, Picnic Days, Cake decorating and Cooking!
Seasonal Events like Christmas, Easter and Summer have themed activities specific to the season.
A healthy Lunch is provided every day.
Children from families with other challenges that don’t qualify for free school meals can also apply depending on circumstances.

During school holidays at Easter, summer and Christmas, our Holiday Food and Fun clubs will be serving up a menu of activities and food for children and young people aged 5-16. Activities will vary and not all activities will be available to all ages.

The Y Centre is a short walk from Warrior Square Railway Station with frequent local bus services, and parking for up to 20 vehicles at their own risk.
