Our Support Groups

The Y Centre is a welcoming space for the community, offering a variety of rooms and a large hall to suit groups of all sizes. Whether you’re hosting a support group, meeting, or activity, there’s a space to fit your needs.

ADHD Support Group

Takes place every other Monday evening from 6.30 to 8pm. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a complex characteristic in some people which can cause both many different difficulties and/or real greatness and achievement.

The group is an informal gathering of people who are affected by ADHD and/or Autism. They lend mutual support and understanding and share experiences with each other. An experienced facilitator attends every session. Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to attend or over 16 if accompanied by a parent/carer.

We meet in the Y Centre Green Room and tea and biscuits are provided. There is no charge.

Kinship Carers

Takes place near or on the first Monday of every month from 10am to 12 noon. Kinship carers are anyone who is raising a child not their own but related to them. Supported by East Sussex County Council and facilitated by an experienced Kinship carer and facilitator the meetings are not attended by any professionals to allow the carers to speak freely and gain support and advice from each other.
